On General Service terms
Q: What payment options do you accept?
A: TSG accepts bank transfers, ecocash transfers, swipe machine is available. Cash, World Remit & Western Union are also accepted.
Q: If we need you to come and take measurements or assess our property so you advise and quote us accurately, do you charge for that?
A: Site visits within Harare are FREE. For other towns, a nominal fee is charged to cover transport costs – this fee will be discounted from your order should you then go ahead to place an order.
On Water tanks and Tank stands
Q: I have a double storey building, what height tank stand should I get?
A: If you have a double storey building, we usually recommend that you invite us to take measurements for a custom quote. The tank stands we’ve installed for double storey buildings to date range from 6.8 Metres to 8 Metres. You might need a stand that’s higher or lower than that range depending on factors like the height of your highest shower or tap or geyser inlet.
Q: Do you offer any warranties on your tank stands?
A: Yes, our tank stands come with a 10 year warranty.
Q: I’ve heard of tank stands collapsing, how do you make sure that won’t happen to mine?
A: Our installations come with an anti-collapse guarantee which we are confident to give because:
- We use the right steel to make the stand for the rated capacity
- Only virgin steel is used to fabricate tank stands
- We install the tank stand at a perfect right angle to the ground so its not slanted
- We use the correct concrete mixture to mount your stand
- All installations are performed & supervised by trained and experience installers
Q: Do your tanks have lining inside?
A: Yes, all the water tanks we supply are made with Grade ‘A’ material which ensures a constant resistance to algae build-up, ultra-violet rays and light degradation
Q: I have my own tank and/or tank stand – can you do the installation for me?
A: Sure. Though our normal warranties won’t apply to your project.
On Gates
Q: I have my own design can you fabricate it for me?
A: Yes, we can. Our catalogue has the most common designs. If you send us an image or sketch of your design, we will prepare a custom quote for you.
Q: What is the standard size gate?
A: Standard size gates for residential entrances are between 1.8M and 2.2M high, and between 3.8 and 4.3M wide.
Q: If my gate is bigger than your standard measurements what does that mean?
A: It’s not a problem at all. We calculate a custom price for your exact measurements.
Q: Do your prices include installation?
A: Yes, the prices on our price list and that we quote include installation of the gate.
Q: Can you deliver the gate or I have to find a transporter?
A: Yes, we can. Transport is charged separately, depending on the location.
Q: Do your sliding gates come with a key?
A: Yes, the pedestrian gate comes with a key. We also include provision for the gate to be locked with a padlock – though we do not supply the padlocks ourselves for security reasons.
Q: Can you space the spikes on top of the gate to my specification?
A: Yes, the the spikes that go on top of most gates can be designed and installed to your spefications.
Q: Can you paint my gate any colour I want or you have standard colours?
A: Yes, you can choose any colour of your preference for your gate.
Q: Do you also repair damaged gates?
A: Yes, we also offer gate repair & refurbishment services including rail replacement, key replacement, wheel replacement, gate repainting and fixing gates that are dented or accident-damaged.
On Gate Motors & Intercoms
Q: Which brands do you install for gate motors?
A: For sliding gates, we install Centurion D5 EVO gate motors. Soon we will also be offering the option to install ET Nice Motors.
Q: Does the gate motor support big gates?
A: The Centurion D5 EVO gate motor is designed to support gates that weigh less than 500kg.. Most residential and light industrial gates fall within that range. For gates larger than that, the Centurion A10 range is better suited, its designed for gates up to 2 tonnes in weight.
Q: Do you do finger print access controls?
A: No, unfortunately not at the moment
Q: Do you do doorbells?
A: No, unfortunately not at the moment
On Booster pumps
Q: What size is the pump you install?
A: The booster pump included in our standard booster pump installation package is 1 HP.
Q: I have my own pump, can you install it for me?
A: Yes, we can.
Q: How long does it take to finish installing the pump?
A: Assuming that your order only has booster pump installation, if you make payment on Day 1, your booster pump will be installed on Days 3 and 4.
On Garage Doors
Q: Is it possible for me to install the garage doors now then install a motor later?
A: Yes, you can install your garage doors as manual doors now then install motors to automate them later – this will not increase the total cost.
Q: Do you offer any warranties on your garage doors?
A: Yes, garage doors are covered by a 3 year warranty.
Q: I have my own design can you fabricate it for me?
A: Yes, we can. Our catalogue has the most common designs. If you send us an image or sketch of your design, we will prepare a custom quote for you.
On Electric Borehole pumps
Q: What size is the pump you install?
A: The pump included in our standard borehole pump installation package is 1HP for boreholes up to 40Metres deep and 1.5HP for boreholes up to 100Metres deep.
Q: I have my own pump can you install it for me?
A: Yes, we can.
Q: Do you include cages or any other security components to secure the pump?
A: The standard installation package includes a lockable manhole cover to secure the pump underground + a lockable metal box to protect the switches and controls above the ground. You can also opt, to add a Cage for your pressure tank.
Q: Do you do borehole drilling as well?
A: No, unfortunately not at the moment.
Q: How long does it take to finish installing the pump?
A: Assuming that your order only includes borehole pump installation, if payment is made on Day 1, the pump will be installed on Days 3 and 4.
Q: How much extra would it cost for you to then connect my borehole pump to my tank/ house/ office?
A: The standard installation package includes plumbing connections to your pump and/or house or office.
On Electric Well pumps
Q: What power source do I need to be able to use the pump?
A: The well pump included in our standard installation package can be powered by generator, solar inverter system or ZESA.
Q: Can I connect the well pump to my house’s plumbing or a tank?
A: Yes, the plumbing connections from your well pump to your tank and/or house or office are included in the standard installation package.
Q: Is the water then safe for drinking?
A: No, using a well pump doesn’t make your water safer or less safe for drinking. The best practice is to get your well tested before deciding to use the water for consumption.
Q: What size is the pump you install?
A: The pump included in the standard well pump installation package is 1HP.
Q: Do I have to have a tank to be able to install and use a well pump?
A: No, its highly recommended that you store your water in tank, but it’s not necessary to have a tank. The pump can be connected directly to your home or office.
Q: How long does it take to finish installing the pump?
A: Assuming that your order only includes well pump installation, if payment is made on Day 1, installation will be on Days 3 and 4.
On Fences
Q: I have my own design can you fabricate it for me?
A: Yes, we can. Our catalogue has the most common designs. If you send us an image or sketch of your design, we will prepare a custom quote for you.
Q: How high are your standard fences?
A: Our standard pool fences are 1.2Metres high. Standard pallisade fences are between 1.8Metres and 2.2Metres high. We can adjust the height to meet your specific preferences.
Q:I noticed all the images in your catalogue are green, can you paint my fence a different colour?
A: We can paint your fence any colour of your preference.
On Cages
Q: How strong is your cage?
A: When we design cages we design them with security in mind – all our designs need a grinder and can not be cut or bent with bare hands or small blades.
Q: Can they be cut through by a burglar?
A: When we design cages we design them with security in mind – all our designs need a grinder and can not be cut or bent with bare hands or small blades.
Q: Do your cages come with a lock and key?
A: Most of our cages come with provision to open, close and lock 2 sides, usually one side and on the top. We do not supply the padlocks themselves for security reasons.
Q: Do your prices include installation?
A: Yes, our prices include installation on an existing hard surface or by mounting the cage’s legs in concrete. You can also opt for us to construct a slab.
